The Best Layered Bean Dip {With Ground Beef}

This layered bean dip is perfect for a casual dinner, an appetizer, or a snack. With taco-seasoned ground beef and layers of beans and cheesy goodness, this is always a hit.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp taco seasoning for the ground beef
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Mexican blend, or your favorite

Optional toppings:

  • Avocado or guacamole
  • Chopped green onions, sliced olives, jalapeños, fresh cilantro

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet until brown. Drain excess grease.
  • Add the taco seasoning and water, simmer for 5 minutes.
  • While the ground beef simmers, spread refried beans evenly across the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Add a layer of black beans over the refried beans.
  • Next, spread the cooked taco-seasoned ground beef.
  • In a bowl, mis the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth, then spread over the beef layer.
  • Spoon salsa evenly over the top.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

Notes

Top with avocado, guacamole, or your favorite garnishes, and serve warm with tortilla chips.
