Fun DIY Dollar Tree Valentine’s Day Wreath

This Valentine’s Day wreath came together with almost all Dollar Tree supplies and is really fun to make- a quick, DIY project that doesn’t take all afternoon.

Valentine’s decor is one of my favorite things to make because it doesn’t have to be expensive to feel special. And I don’t love buying expensive decor that is only up for a few days!

How to Make Your Dollar Tree Heart Wreath

Decide which side of your wreath you want heavier. I built all of my florals on the right side to give it that asymmetrical, high-end look.

Start by wrapping the Valentine ribbon around a few sections of the wreath on the opposite side of where the florals will go, and secure it on the back with hot glue. This adds texture without overpowering the florals.

Now it’s time for the felt heart stickers. Use these to fill in the opposite side of where the florals will go on the wreath, so the design feels balanced.

I added a couple glitter hearts to the bottom of the wreath.

Next, trim the stems off your artificial flowers, leaving just a couple inches so they’re easy to glue. Lay them out on the wreath before gluing so you can see how everything fits together.

Once you like the arrangement, glue them in place starting with the biggest flowers first and filling in the gaps with smaller pieces.

How to Hang It So It Doesn’t Tilt

Because this wreath is heavier on one side, it wants to tilt when you hang it. To fix that, add a Command strip to the back of the wreath on the heavier side and press it directly against the door.

I always have extra Command strips around, but you can also use tape.

This keeps the wreath straight and prevents it from swinging or leaning.
