DIY Dollar Tree Christmas Centerpiece: Pretty and Affordable Decor from Dollar Tree
The Dollar Tree is one of my favorite stores to browse and gain inspiration for DIY projects and inexpensive decor.
I recently made this Christmas centerpiece for our dining room table using only stuff I bought from the Dollar Tree, and it cost just under $10.
With a silver charger or Christmas plate as the base, bouquet fillers for a wreath, and a glass jar filled with Epsom salts, this project is easy, inexpensive, and perfect for adding holiday cheer to your table.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Start with the Base
Choose a silver charger or decorative Christmas plate as the foundation of your centerpiece. The Dollar Tree has tons of options from silver and gold to festive patterns.
2. Create the Mini Wreath
• Take your bouquet fillers and bend them into a circular shape to form a small wreath.
• Use hot glue to secure the ends together (I have had this cheap hot glue gun for years and it works great) and fill in gaps with additional sprigs for a fuller look.
Leave a hole in the center large enough to fit the glass jar.
• Add festive touches, like small pinecones, glitter, or faux snow.
3. Prepare the Glass Jar Candle Holder
• Fill the glass jar with Epsom salts to mimic snow.
• Place a tea light candle on top of the salts. Use a battery-operated tea light for a worry-free option.
4. Assemble the Centerpiece
• Place the wreath in the center of the charger or plate.
• Nestle the glass jar in the middle of the wreath, ensuring it’s stable.
• Adjust the wreath’s sprigs to fill any gaps and create a cohesive look.
5. Add the Finishing Touches
• Sprinkle a little extra Epsom salt around the plate for a snowy effect.
• If you want, scatter small ornaments or beads around the base of the wreath.
Tips for Personalizing Your Centerpiece:
• Color Theme: Match your décor by choosing bouquet fillers and plates in colors that complement your holiday theme.
• Height Variation: Use a taller jar or a pillar candle to create dimension.
• Twinkle Lights: Wrap a string of battery-operated fairy lights around the wreath for a magical glow.
• Reuse Materials: After Christmas, repurpose the plate, jar, and fillers for future DIYs or other seasonal decorations.
This beautiful DIY Christmas centerpiece is a simple yet sophisticated addition to any holiday table. For just under $10 dollars, you can create a festive focal point that your family and guests will love.
Bonus Idea: Make It a Family Activity
Let your kids help assemble the wreath or pour the Epsom salts into the jar—it’s a fun way to get everyone involved in decorating!
